THE 3rd Ardrossan rainbows raised almost £500 last Wednesday when they held a sponsored bounce.
The girls bounced on and off a bouncy castle for two hours stopping to do crafts and get refreshments.
They raised a total of £490.20 after costs and are overwhelmed by the amount raised.
Kerry Elliot from the Rainbows said: “We want to thank the parents and other people who sponsored our girls to raise such an amazing amount.
“This year is our unit’s 20th birthday and the money will go towards planning a party and celebration badges for the girls.
“Our Rainbows are from ages five to seven and after the summer we will be opening a Brownie unit which is from ages seven to 10.
“It is held at the Park Parish Church on a Wednesday evening.
“We provide so much enjoyment for our girls and provide many opportunities for our girls to grow and develop.”
