An Ardrossan teen has had her waist-length hair chopped off to help children with cancer.
Ellie McQueen, a pupil at Ardrossan Academy, wanted to raise money and donate her locks to the Little Princess Trust.
Ellie raised over £200 for the charity with her haircut, which took place at Irvine’s Bee Beauty. She is also donating her hair to make wigs.
Asked what inspired Ellie to go for the chop, she said: “I think just watching things on the TV and seeing other girls losing their hair. I’m just so thankful I’ve got my hair.”
