A TEENAGER is due to appear in court in connection with the death of a man in Dalry on Saturday night.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene in Townend Street just before 9.30pm on Saturday night but the 25-year-old man died from his injuries.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 9.25pm on Saturday police were called to a report of a 25-year-old man having been seriously injured in Townend Street, Dalry.
“Emergency services attended however the man died at the scene.
“A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and he is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court in connection with the incident."
It is understood that the teenager will appear in court later today.
