President Derek J Logue welcomed members, friends and invited guests to Beith Bowling Club Annual Opening on Saturday, April 20.
The president invited his wife, Lady President Isabel Logue, Vice President Stevie McPhail and his wife, Lady Vice President Mary McPhail, and committee members to the green.
Lady President Isabel Logue threw the jack and two bowls then pronounced the green open for 2019.
Vice President Stevie McPhail presented the Silver Bowl to Mrs Logue and the ladies received bouquets of flowers to mark the event.
The format for the day was rinks consisting of teams for the president and vice president.
The president’s teams won overall and the highest up team was from the presidents.
The vote of thanks was given by Brian Monk of Glengarnock.
President Derek Logue thanked everyone for coming along in such large numbers and helped to make the day the success it was.
He also thanked all those who helped do all the jobs that needed done and no one ever sees, the caterers for a wonderful meal, and wished everyone a safe journey home.
