VERTEX are bringing the Fergus McCredie Trio all the way from Ronnie Scott’s world famous jazz club in London to perform at West Kilbride Village Hall on Friday, May 24.

The concert will start at 7.30pm and tickets will cost £10 and are available from Chris Maughan on 01294 824839.

Fergus McCreadie is a phenomenal young pianist. Still only twenty-one and twice winner of the Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year Under 17 title, he released his first album, Turas, in early 2018 to rave reviews, including a five-star rating from the Scotsman.

He has since won the Best Instrumentalist title at the Scottish Jazz Awards, was a finalist in the BBC Young Jazz Musician 2018 and was nominated as Best Newcomer in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards, the UK’s most prestigious jazz awards, in 2018.

Chris Maughan of Vertex said: “Scotland is producing many, talented young jazz musicians so we are delighted that one of the best will play for us on 24 May. Having heard him several times I am anticipating another great night”.
