KILWINNING Rangers today shared a touching message from Kenya after a school football team turned out wearing recycled Buffs strips.
Strips from a KSC side were taken over to Kenya by Stewart Mathieson, who plays for the Buffs U16 team, as part of the GENO Project in the country.
And Solomon Opere wrote to Stewart's dad Murray offering their thanks for the 'smart and admirable' jerseys they had received.
Solomon said: "Hi friends, I salute all of you on behalf of GENO, Kenya.
"We appreciated the football jerseys you donated to us November 2018. I was privileged to officiate as chief guest during the zonal sports competition. Our school football team was eliminated at the final stage.
"All the teachers present asked me to thank you for this generosity toward our school and the zone in particular. The jerseys are smart and admirable.
"God Bless.
"Solomon."
