KIDS at Barassie Primary School were given into a fascinating insight into medieval times as part of a special project, writes Stewart McConnell.
Knights and Castles was the title of the venture.
The pupils in the P4 and P4/3 classes made castles from materials including cardboard and many featured some colourful and imaginative artwork.
Indeed one of the landmarks depicted was the very nearby Dundonald Castle, which is increasingly being used for outdoor community events. The pupils spent a lot of time helping to perfect the designs and as our pictures show they made a good job of it.
