Man to appear in court after incident in Ardrossan street
A MAN is due in court this afternoon after an incident in an Ardrossan street last night (Wednesday, June 12).
Police confirmed that a 34-year-old had been arrested and charged with alleged possession of a knife and a baseball bat following a disturbance in the town's Central Avenue.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Police can confirm that a 34-year-old man from Saltcoats has been arrested and charged with possession of a bladed article and offensive weapon after reports of a disturbance in Central Avenue, Ardrossan on the evening of June 12. He is being held custody to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on the 13th June."
