Kilwinning Scouts were successful at a national hiking competition.
Three teams from the local Scouts took part in the 50th Kilbryde Hike over the weekend of June 8/9.
Organised by Boys’ Brigade Officers, the annual Kilbryde Hike is a competitive challenge for young people aged 11-18 from youth organisations, groups and schools.
The Kilwinning Explorers were among 36 teams from across Scotland, managing to take fourth, fifth and 18th place.
Deputy First Minister John Swinney attended the event and commended all the teams.
