A fun and interactive learning opportunity for all the family is promised this Sunday.

From noon until 4pm on Sunday, June 23 representatives from the emergency services will be at Eglinton Country Park with a number of vehicles on display with officers also on hand to demonstrate the equipment used.

A number of information stalls will be set up from organisations working together in North Ayrshire. Organisations present on the day will include the Coastguard, British Divers Marine Life Rescue, Police Mountain Rescue and the RNLI as well as North Ayrshire Council Youth Services and KA Leisure.

PC Colin Johnson, Community Safety Officer for North Ayrshire, said: “This event was last held in 2015 and was a huge success. Public demand has encouraged the repeat of this event and we are sure this year’s event will again offer something for everyone.”

All events are subject to operational availability, parking is available at the venue however public transport is also recommended with bus stops on Irvine Road, Kilwinning within walking distance.
