A ROAD near Dalry will be closed at the end of the month for resurfacing works to be carried out.

Scotland TranServ will resurface 1km of the A737 between Monkcastle and Dalgarven, south of Dalry and this will result in the closure of the road from Friday, June 28 to Monday, July 1.

Dayle Gillespie, Scotland TranServ’s lead designer on the project said: “We’ve been working alongside local authorities, emergency services and key stakeholders to carefully plan these resurfacing works. In order to keep disruption to a minimum for commuters and local businesses, we’re looking to complete this short programme of work over a weekend, ahead of the peak holiday season.”

It will be necessary to implement the closure of the trunk carriageway during the following times: 8pm on Friday, June 28 to 6am on Monday, July 1.
