THE annual Rotary Club of Hunterston Golf Day raised £3,000 for CHAS (Children's Hospices Across Scotland.

Organiser Tom Clark presented the cheque recently to CHAS communirty fundraiser Samantha Reilly.

Samantha had come to thank the club personally for raising over £65,000 for CHAS over the last 17 years, through Tom's Golf Day.

She said the club was an inspiration to all fundraisers and presented Tom with a thank you card and each of the members with a badge with the new CHAS alphabet logo.

She said that as well as the charity's two hospices in Scotland, Rachael House and Robin House, the charity is now able to offer home and hospital visits to those parents who wish help in this way.

A vote of thanks was given by member Roddy Macdonald for her kind words and for her update on CHAS activities.
