THE hard-working volunteers who help keep Irvine tidy were given some tools of the trade as a special thank-you by North Ayrshire Council.
Streetscene donated a cart, some high-viz jackets and some litter pickers to Irvine Clean-up crew during a visit to St John Ogilvie Primary School.
The gifts were recognition of the work carried out by the group and recent work they’ve carried out with eco-committees of primary schools.
Cabinet Member for Place Cllr Jim Montgomerie, said: “Our Streetscene team work very hard keeping North Ayrshire tidy. They do a brilliant job. But the support of groups like the Irvine Clean-up Crew is invaluable.”
