A WOMAN has admitted swindling more than £12,000 in benefits.
Ashley Wilson admitted fraudulently claiming housing and council tax benefits between May 27, 2014 and July 19, 2018.
The 30-year-old from Irvine admitted falsely claiming to North Ayrshire Council officials that she was living alone at a property in Pinmore, Kilwinning, when in fact she was living with her partner who was in employment.
The court heard Wilson fraudulently claimed a total of £12,498.63 over the four years she claimed to be living alone.
Wilson was given 18 months supervision and ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.
