A KILWINNING man who sent abusive texts to his ex has been given unpaid work.
Robert Deans admitted sending the offensive messages to the woman on February 4 this year from his address in Main Street.
He pled guilty at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week to sending messages that were grossly offensive and of an indecent, obscene and menacing character and contained threatening and abusive comments.
Deans was given a Community Payback Order with 100 hours unpaid work and made subject of a non-harassment order.
