ARDROSSAN Academy’s first community 5k has been hailed a success.

The event, which took place last Thursday, was blessed with warm summer sun and Maxine Irvine, the School’s PT for Wellbeing said: “We started with a warm up in the assembly hall. This was led by four of our Wellbeing Ambassadors. People came with their families, their dogs and pushing their prams, there was a lovely atmosphere.

“Member of staff Lorna Baird won the race and the first male was Donnie Robertson. Everyone who participated in the race received and wellbeing band and a well deserved drink. We raised £289 and hope to build on this next year.”
