OUTDOOR dining could soon be coming to a popular Saltcoats eatery – after they applied for a licence for a terrace.
Oscar’s Bar and Restaurant is situated within the Premier Leisure complex – which is home to a cinema and children’s soft play – and offers a variety of food and drink in the picturesque setting just next to Saltcoats Harbour.
And now outdoor eating and drinking could be on the cards after owner Henry Fitzsimmons lodged plans for a terrace area to the side of the current building.
The application was submitted to North Ayrshire Council’s planning department on Monday, July 1.
If given the go-ahead, it will see the terraced area next to the main entrance surrounded by glass protection to give diners protection from the elements. Recently planning permission was granted for an outdoor area at Mr Fitzsimmons’ Riverside Lodge Hotel in Irvine.
