Pupils at St Patrick’s Primary School raised £1,813.17 for the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF),
The school held a number of fundraisers during Lent, including a bring and buy sale, a non-uniform day, a job week and a sponsored pyjama read. Frank Turbet from SCIAF visited the school, where pupils and staff presented him with a cheque.
Mrs Catriona Gray, head teacher at St Patrick’s Primary, said: “Mr Turbet had checked the records at SCIAF and was able to tell us that in the last seven years St Patrick’s has raised almost £12,000. Mr Turbet said this was a fantastic achievement for a small school like ours.”
