The winning triple from Ardeer BC
A TRIO of Stevenston bowlers were celebrating at the weekend as they became Scottish champions.
The triple of Connor Paterson, Eoghan Hughes and Kerr Thompson from Ardeer Bowling Club took on teams from throughout the country as they battled to be crowned the winners of the Scottish Young Bowlers Association triples winners.
A hard group stage was won by the boys, winning four of their five games and drawing one.
They faced off against Angus and Dundee in the final where they recorded a 5-3 victory to become the Scottish Champions.
Coach Robert Hill from Ardeer BC was delighted with the performance of the three boys on becoming Scottish Triples Champions.
