A sex offender has been remanded in custody after facing charges of allegedly sending indecent communications to youngsters and breaching a court order.
Jamie Cunningham entered no plea when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday this week after his arrest in George Street on Thursday night.
The 28-year-old faced two charges of allegedly communicating indecently with an older child who had not attained the age of 16 years.
He also faced a further two charges of allegedly breaching a SOPO or interim SOPO [Sexual Offences Prevention Order].
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He is expected to return to the court within the next eight days.
