A DALRY archer is on target for more sporting success thanks to a boost from Cunninghame Housing Association.
At the start of this month, Janet Strang the chairperson of Cunninghame Housing Association, presented a cheque for £500 to Jonathan Ralston to assist with his competition costs for this season.
Janet said: “We are delighted to be able to support Jonathan Ralston who is, at 12 years of age, competing in archery events where some competitors are nearly two years older than him.”
Jonathan recently shot 144 arrows across distances 50m/40m/30m/20m (three dozen arrows at each). He finished 10th in the U14s category.
The funding for Jonathan came from the Association's Making Our Communities a Better Place Fund which operates throughout the year (April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020) until the allocated funding is exhausted.
If you are a local group or individual and you are interested in submitting an application for funding please contact Karlin Mclaughlan or Elaine Nimmo at Cunninghame Housing Association on 01294 606005.
