On Saturday, July 20. Beith Bowling Club President Derek Logue Snr welcomed a large attendance of members and friends for the annual Cunningham Cup: Gents v Ladies.
The game this year was sponsored by Henri Graham Motor Engineers, of Paisley, owned by Derek Logue Jnr.
Derek, a member for many years, has recently bought over the garage where he was foreman mechanic when the owner retired, and wished to help the bowling club by being a sponsor.
It proved to be a good day with the weather holding out.
Being the kind of game it was, there was always going to be a lot of skullduggery on the green - and that proved to be the case.
After a great day, the count was taken and the Gents beat the Ladies.
A lovely meal was laid on by Derek and his wife Tracy.
A raffle was also given out with proceeds going to club funds.
I.P.P. Warnock Longridge gave the vote of thanks, stating he hoped that Derek will sponsor this day for many years to come.
