A Saltcoats musician will be taking to the stage in Glasgow this week – fresh off a tour in Germany with Scottish sensation Gerry Cinnamon.
James Michael Rodgers is a travelling singer songwriter from Saltcoats with influences from John Martyn, Van Morrison and Jeff Buckley.
His newest single "Shattered Image of You" was released across all platforms on May 23 with a show at Old Hairdressers on May 22 to celebrate. His next concert in Scotland will be headlining the famous Blue Arrow Jazz Club on Saturday, August 10.
“Shattered Image of you” was written in Sicily when James was touring and living there and was recorded in Funkhaus, Berlin.
James has also supported the likes of Nathaniel Rateliff and John Moreland and is completely independent and released a limited run of 12" vinyl of his debut EP in 2016 which you can also stream here - https://jamesmichaelrodgers.bandcamp.com/album/shame-to-be-alive
