The Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team are again reminding residents that inflatable toys are designed for use at the swimming pool and are not designed for use at the coast.
In addition, the team is warning locals not to use them in flood waters following recent heavy downpours with pictures emerging showing individuals using inflatables.
A spokesperson said: “Flooding poses a significant risk to the public including the inherent risk of drowning, illness from contaminated water and the risk of becoming trapped in objects hidden below the surface.
“Flood water is not a playground and should be actively avoided.”
