Saturday, August 10 saw the annual Spiers Care Home Trophy at Beith Bowling Club.
President Derek Logue Snr welcomed a large turnout of members and visiting teams to the event.
Match secretary Robert Clark, gave the format as Triples, two sections, Red and Black. The two highest up from each section played a semi-final, and the winners of that competed in a final.
A hard fought and very entertaining final it was too – the team of Ian Sibbald, Robert Clark and skip Duncan Meldrum beating Wullie McDonald, Mary McPhail and skip Stevie McPhail.
President Derek Logue gave the vote of thanks, praising everyone who helped to serve the food, raffles and anyone who contributed in any way to make the day the success it was.
The club wish to say a big thank you to Spiers Care Home of Beith for once again sponsoring the day.
