THE annual Kilwinning Flower Show will take place this week where exhibitors can place entries in different classes – cut flowers, pot plants, vegetables, floral art, baking, beers and wines, handicrafts, children and novice sections.

The 2018 Show was an outstanding success and they look forward to continuing this trend at this year’s event in the Abbey Church Hall on Thursday, August, 29.

Exhibits can be put on display between 7-10pm on Wednesday or between 7-10am on Thursday.

Judging begins at 10am and the doors will open to the public at 2pm

A tearoom will be available in the afternoon, selling teas, coffees, cakes and scones.Local Community Champions, John and Mary Boyd (2nd Kilwinning Boys Brigade) will perform the formal opening ceremony at 7.30pm. The Segdoune Queen and her royal party will assist with the presentation of prizes thereafter. The Show will end with a sale of cut flowers, head along and grab a bargain!
