AN AYR physio got to meet Sir Alex Ferguson after winning tickets for a Manchester United match at Whiteleys charity sports dinner.
Kevin Maclellan surprised his dad, by taking him to Old Trafford for United’s opening match of the season versus Chelsea.
Kevin told the Ayr Advertiser how his day out of one of football’s most iconic venues was a day to remember.
He said: “We were in the Sir Alex Ferguson Lounge for three hours, it was just amazing.
“We’ve been to hospitality before at Ibrox or Somerset Park, but this was just a wee bit different. It was out of this world.
“Sir Alex is such a gentleman, even the current United boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer called him gaffer.
“Ole even joked that they were looking for a physio right now, and Sir Alex told me to get my CV in. It was surreal.” Sam Allardyce was there as well.
“I even met Jose Mourinho who was there working for Sky Sports, for a football fan it was out of this world. “
