WEST Kilbride’s comedy festival Vertex is back.

The year five great comedians will take to the stage at the West Kilbride Community Centre from 8pm on Friday, September 20.

The previous comedy shows have proven very popular and the comics on this year’s bill should ensure another full house.

The show will be MC’d by Taryam Boyd, a Scottish-Arab comedian and actor from Glasgow. Renowned for his passion for storytelling - whether it be sketches, poetry or stories from his own life or others. He has recently sold out at the Glasgow Comedy Festival and starred in the BBC stand-up show Comedy Underground.

The headliner for the night will be Steffen Peddie, star of BBC’s Hebburn with Vic Reeves and Chris Ramsay. He is also known as the host of Grin Up North and for The Late Show on BBC Newcastle and BBC Tees, where his great humour draws great audiences. “The Big man from the Toon” brings his full comedy set to West Kilbride.

Also on the bill are: Kenny Sinclair, from East Kilbride, who is racking up the miles entertaining audiences all over Scotland. Joe McTernan (from Edinburgh) who has shot up the ranks quickly in stand-up comedy circles. Quick witted and lovable, Joe recently smashed the Edinburgh festival.
