The owner of one of Arran's premier hotels has passed away suddenly.
Sean Henry, who owned the Douglas Hotel, died earlier this week.
The 55-year-old's colleagues posted a touching tribute to him, describing his death as a "huge shock".
The post says: "It is with very heavy hearts we sadly share the news that our owner, great leader & friend, Mr Sean Henry has passed away suddenly.
"It has been a huge shock to his family, friends and The Douglas Hotel team, so we kindly request respect for the family's privacy at this very sad time.
"Please be assured that The Douglas Hotel continues to welcome new and existing guests and we thank you for your continued support of our endeavours to continue on with his dream.
"Good night, god bless and sleep tight Boss, may you rest in peace.
"From all at the Douglas Hotel."
