A MAN is facing multiple charges of alleged historical sexual abuse against boys in Largs and Greenock dating back to 1984.
Andrew Ward is accused using lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour towards children as young as 11.
Prosecutors say that Ward, 50, committed offences at numerous locations, including Netherhall Christian Retreat in Largs and a Scottish Evangelical Council premises
It is claimed that Ward abused one boy on various occasions between August 1, 1984 and November 13, 1988 when the child was aged between 11 and 15.
The Crown says that he molested the boy by rubbing his private parts, threw him onto a bed and performed a sex act on him.
It is alleged that Ward targeted a second boy on various occasions between December 29, 1992 and December 28, 1994 when the child was aged 12 and 13.
He is said to have entered the child's bed naked, kissed his neck and ear, removed his upper clothing and molested him by touching his private parts.
Ward appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on the indictment charges last week and tendered pleas of not guilty through a defence advocate.
The case is due to call again on November 5.
