Provost Ian Clarkson is holding a coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support – and everyone is invited.
The event will take place from 10am to noon in Irvine’s Townhouse on Friday, September 27, with the Provost being joined by this year’s Marymass Queen and Marys to serve up refreshments.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event, with people all over the UK hosting their own coffee mornings and donating proceeds to the charity.
Last year’s event raised an incredible £26,914,382 – a total which the charity is hoping to top this year.
Provost Clarkson said: “Macmillan Cancer Support is a wonderful charity, and I’m delighted to be able to support them by holding a coffee morning to raise funds.
“I’d like to invite everyone along to join us for coffee, tea and cake, and a good old-fashioned chat, where you will also be contributing to a charity which does so much great work for individuals and families across North Ayrshire whose lives have been touched by cancer.”
