Members of a Kilwinning knitting group are celebrating after being recognised in the Scottish Parliament by an MSP.
Knit and Natter have created Harry Potter scarves for sick kids and knitted tiny hats for premature and stillborn babies. Now, their efforts have been recognised after Ruth Maguire passed a motion acknowledging their “series of goodwill projects”.
A spokesperson for the group said: “On behalf of our Knit and Natter group here at Mansefield Trinity Parish Church, we would like to thank Ruth Maguire MSP for raising a motion in [the] Scottish Parliament acknowledging our mission and outreach work in the community relating to our work with the Glasgow Hospital for sick children and our work with the premature baby unit in Crosshouse Hospital.”
