Kilwinning Co-op is set to re-open tomorrow (Thursday, October 31) following a £835,000 investment that has created three new jobs for local people.

The Main Street store will have new self-service tills, in-store bakery, National Lottery, Paypoint services, Costa coffee and Amazon lockers alongside a focus on fresh, healthy foods, meal ideas, food-to-go and award-winning wines.

It is also set to bring a funding boost through the Co-op’s Membership Scheme, where members receive awards and the store donates to local good causes.

Michael McGuiness, Co-op area manager, said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to make such a significant investment in our Kilwinning store. It is our aim to establish our stores at the heart of local life and make a difference in our local communities.

“The store will have a great new look and range and manager Eileen McEwan, and her team look forward to welcoming the community. It’s all about getting closer to our members and customers, providing what they want, need and care about, conveniently.”
