FOUR people have been charged after a drug raid in Ardrossan.
Police swarmed Rashley Square around 10.45am yesterday and searched two properties during the narcotics investigation.
Plain clothed detectives charged a 37-year-old man at the first property in connection with the search.
Then three women aged 27, 30, and 54, were arrested and charged at a second property.
They were due in court today as a result.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police conducted a search of two properties on Rashley Square on Thursday, 31 October, 2019 in connection with an investigation into the supply of controlled substances.
"Following the search of the first property a 37-year-old man was charged and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
"Three woman aged aged fifty-four, thirty and twenty-seven from the second property were arrested and charged.
"They are due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, 1 November, 2019."
