Two Rangers legends visited the Cross Keys as the Stevenston pub officially opened following a massive renovation project.

The bar was closed for four months over the Summer while restoration works took place.

A Pie, A Pint and A Player relaunched the brand-new venue in celebration of it reopening.

Punters were treated to an afternoon Q&A session with Mark Hateley and Ian Durrant hosted by former Rangers director John Gilligan.

The event took place during the recent International Break and was attended by members of the pub’s Rangers Supporters Club.

Organiser David Ashmead said: “The owner [Craig Mochan] had refurbished the place and to say it’s astonishing what he’s achieved is an understatement. The whole place has been done up.

“We had maximum 100 people. The players arrived about 1pm and mingled with the punters. We then had a Q&A with the two players with John Gilligan. It was a really successful day.”
