A SALTCOATS centenarian has celebrated her 102nd birthday.
Mother of nine, Jessie Sweeney, rang in the special milesone at her home in Arran View Bupa Care Home in Saltcoats.
Born in Beith, Jessie left school at 14-years-old to become a dairymaid before starting her family.
Jessie now enjoys crosswords, crochet, singing and spending time with her loved ones.
The centenarian celebrated at the home with her family, friends, staff and Provost Ian Clarkson, where they enjoyed entertainment, cake and refreshments.
Home Manager, Carol Barr, said: “It’s always great fun celebrating residents’ birthdays, and Jessie’s celebration was particularly special as it’s such a big milestone.”
