A FAST-rising Stevenson pool ace is celebrating a glorious double success inside a month.
Geo Edgar (15) is making a real name for himself on the green baize and is on cue for more triumphs if his form continues.
The 15-year-old is an S4 student at Auchenharvie Academy.
He won the Scottish U15 singles Pool Championship yesterday on Sunday at the Players lounge in Falkirk.
This came hot on the heels of his victory in the Scottish U18 singles event last month in the Corner Pocket in Dalkeith.
He faced very stiff competition from leading players throughout the country in both events and will no doubt gain much confidence from how he has done.
The year 2019 has been a massive one for Three Towns teenager Geo, who looks to be going from strength to strength in the sport.
He created a bit of history by becoming the first player in history to win all four Scottish U15 ranking events, along with the European U15 singles and European U23a team event in Bridlington in April this year.
There he was Scotland’s youngest ever u23 international, he has also won eight men’s events this year.
Geo plays out of Irvine Eight Ball Pool Club.
He is mentored by Jourdon Templeton and Scott Lynn, who are both seasoned Scotland internationals and proven winners themselves.
They have both won a number of events over the years and knows what it feels like to taste victory.
So you could say he’s learning from the best.
We will keep you posted on Geo’s progress as he hopes to continue his meteoric rise within the sport.
