TWO local dominoes officials recently met with the Royal British Legion to present them with money for the annual remembrance parade.

Paul Coffey (President and Parade Marshal) from the Saltcoats, Ardrossan and Stevenston branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland, was joined by Clyde Coast Ladies Domino Ambassador Kerry Clark and North Ayrshire Domino League Secretary Billy Mitchell at the handing over of a £100 donation from the Dominoes League.

Paul thanked the donors and their team members for the donation and assured them every penny will be spent helping veterans and their families across the Three Towns.

He said: “Donations such as this generous £100 enables us to assist veterans and to maintain the core values of the RBLS.

“More local veterans than before have been helped this year in a variety of ways including, advice and support from the branch, reducing social isolation by running events and encouraging veterans to join in community activities. We hope to reach even more in 2020.”
