NORTH Ayrshire Foodbank volunteers were ‘overwhelmed’ this week after receiving a donation of 250 Christmas food hampers.
They will help a number of local charities and organisations, including Barnardos, Cornerstone and the Family Nurse Partnership, to provide traditional Christmas food and drink to under privileged families.
Craig Crosthwaite, North Ayrshire Foodbank’s coordinator, based in Ardrossan’s Church of Nazarene said: “Once again we’re indebted to our friends at Community Windpower, for this generous donation that will help 250 families in the area.
"Without this help it would have cost us close to £15,000 to put together these hampers, and we know all our charitable partners are grateful for everything."
