Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to regarding a robbery in Ardrossan.

Officers at Saltcoats are continuing enquiries into the robbing of an elderly woman at Winton Street, at around 2.50pm on Sunday, November 10, last year.

Detectives want to speak anyone who may have been in the vicinity both immediately prior and immediately after the robbery.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a male that they believe may be able to assist them with the enquiries and would appeal to anyone who recognises him to contact them.

The man is described as white with a pale complexion and in his 30s. He is shown in the image wearing a black jacket, black jogging bottoms with a distinctive white stripe and a black hat.

He can be seen leaving a store known locally as the VG.

Detective Constable Scott Hendry of Saltcoats CID states: "From local enquiries we have established that there were a number of persons in the vicinity of the Premier Store around the time of the robbery. We are keen to trace and speak with the male on this CCTV footage and any members of the public who may be able to assist with our enquiries.''
