An idiotic pedestrian was caught running across a level crossing as a train approached.
The person was seen being stupid at Princes Street in Ardrossan last night as the barriers came down.
A train spotter took a video and shared it on social media.
Posting to Twitter, Jake Neill said: “Why [do] people risk their lives at level crossings.”
Trespassing on the railway is illegal and those who do can be taken to court and face a £1,000 fine.
Network Rail gives the Ardrossan Town crossing a risk score of H3, which means it has a middling individual risk which applies only to crossing users, but a high collective risk, which considers the total risk for all people who use the crossing, including pedestrians, drivers, and train users.
