James McFarlane pupils enjoyed a Burns brunch in celebration of the Bard last week.

Youngsters enjoyed haggis, neeps and tatties as well as oatcakes and cheese on Thursday, January 30.

Live music was provided by the guest piper Michael McCulloch followed by a traditional Scottish dance.

The haggis was piped in while carried in by senior pupils before Stanley Primary teacher Matthew Wilkon addressed the Haggis.

There was entertainment provided by seniors at the school, more traditional Scottish dancing and entertainment provided by Stanley Primary pupils.

North Ayrshire Provost Ian Clarkson also turned up to enjoy the fun, with Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald photographer Charlie Gilmour there to capture some of the festivities.
