Police and paramedics were called following reports of two unconscious women in Ardrossan.

A member of the public contacted the emergency services shortly before 3pm yesterday (Wednesday, February 5) concerned about two people lying unconscious on Central Quadrant.

Officers arrived to find an ambulance already there but the two women had left.

Almost an hour later, police were contacted again when a member of the public raised concerns about the behaviour of two women in Kirkhall Gardens.

The pair were identified as those involved earlier and were checked over by paramedics.

At 5.26pm, Scotrail contacted police concerned for a female near to Ardrossan South Beach station.

Emergency services attended and the woman was taken away in an ambulance.

It could not be confirmed if this female was one of the two involved in the previous incidents.

She did, however, match the desciption of one of those originally spoken to.
