POLICE are investigating the death of a man who died in a house after suffering serious injuries.
Emergency services rushed to reports of a 34-year-old man who was seriously injured at a property on Marigold Square on Saturday.
Sadly, the man died at the scene at the house in the Kincaidston area.
Officers are treating his death as suspicious as a post mortem is due to be carried out.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Advertiser: "Around 4pm on Saturday, February 8 police were called after a 34-year-old man was found seriously injured within a house in Marigold Square, Ayr.
"Officers and emergency services attended, however, he died at the scene.
"A post mortem will take place to establish the exact cause of his death which at this time police are treating as suspicious. Enquiries are continuing."
