The Saltcoats lad who wants to dance for his nation has seen the community rally to support him in his dream.
Dean Jackson is aiming to represent Scotland in Florida’s International Cheer Union this April.
On Friday, January 31, a night of psychics, singing and dance was held to raise the funds needed to make Dean’s dream come true.
His mum, Gillian, told the Herald: “It was quite overwhelming. We raised £1,536.
“When we all pull together it’s unbelievable.
“I want to thank the community and a big thank you to Lynn Stroyan for organising the whole thing.”
