AYRSHIRE is packed full of some amazing takeaways.

We've had a look at some of the best places to pick up a Friday night feast.

There is something for everyone from mouth watering curry to salty fish and chips.

So why not give one of these fine establishments a try.

Dino’s

Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald:

Pizza, pasta and fish 'n' chips are served up at this famiy-run Italian on Maybole Road, Ayr.

The family have been offering their takeaway services for over 50 years - and the taste is proof of their experience.

Popular dishes include the mighty Tikka Supreme pizza topped with chicken tikka, mushrooms, red onions, chillies and mixed peppers.

But you can also treat yourself to some proper homemade carbonara - the creamy garlic and egg sauce combine with the salty pancetta is mouthwatering.

Dinos will deliver to anywhere within five miles of its location, or you can pop in to pick up your dinner.

Top Dexter Cafe

Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald:

Don't let the word cafe fool you with this one.

The Muirkirk eatery has grown a reputation for mouth watering creations - with their burgers a huge hit.

The cafe has been operating for more than 10 years in East Ayrshire and their owners are not afraid to go big with their creations.

As well their burgers they also do a great toastie and offer a selection of scrumptous cakes.

And the good news is they are open till 7pm on evenings, like we said not just a regular cafe at all.

Abid's

Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald:

This North Ayrshire gem does it all - as you can see.

The Saltcoats take away is famed for it's delicious kebabs, curries and their pizzas really hit the spot too.

But it's the weekend and of course you'll be tempted to go big, look no further than there Abid's box which has just about everything.

It's a lot to take on but we could eat this kind of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Rice Paper

Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald:

This Thai and Chinese takeaway in Dreghorn is one of those hidden gems. Understated decor belies the deliciousness of the food.

Rice Paper offers a wide range of traditional Thai and Chinese dishes including peanut-based satay dishes, roast duck, and green curry made with rich coconut milk.

Customers rave about the chow mein, honey chicken and fried rice.

Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald:

You can't have a weekend without some pizza.

With fresh toppings locally souced their pizzas have become a hit in the town and beyond.

Their creative team are always mixing it up with the menu reflecting Italian classics to popular choices such as cajun or peri peri chicken.
