LEONARD Cohen will sadly sing no more, but his memory lives on in a hit show which is on the way to Ayr’s Gaiety Theatre.

‘Hallelujah – A Tribute To The Genius Of Leonard Cohen’ will be held at the Carrick Street venue.

The American icon passed away in 2016, just three years after completing an unexpected yet triumphant World tour in 2013.

He was renowned as being a great raconteur and although some of his songs sound subdued they are often peppered with humour and irony,

Following his 15-year hiatus, Leonard had been forced back to the stage at the age of 74, after discovering he had been robbed by his manager. What a blessing for his fans that turned out to be! This final tour took him to 31 countries, selling over four million tickets, including two nights sold out in London’s O2.

‘Hallelujah – A Tribute To The Genius Of Leonard Cohen’ respectfully recreates the experience of Leonard Cohen live, with a suitably talented full band, their chorus of angels and, of course, that incredible golden voice.

The show will grace The Gaiety Theatre stage this coming Saturday, March 7 at 7:30pm.

Tickets are £18 - £26 and can be purchased from The Gaiety Box Office on 01292 288235 or online at www.thegaiety.co.uk/shows/
