There has been an accident on the A737 in Beith shortly before 7am this morning.
Two cars were involved, with both cars damaged extensively.
Only two people were involved in the accident, one of whom has suffered minor injuries and has been taken to hospital as a precaution. The other driver involved has suffered no injuries.
The crash happened on the stretch of the Bypass Road at the junction with Wardrop Street.
At the time of writing one car was being loaded onto a recovery vehicle and traffic heading north was slow moving up to the accident.
