North Ayrshire’s top curry houses are set to battle it out it out to be named best in Scotland.

Ardrossan’s Jaipur Indian Restaurant in Glasgow Street is up for Best Loved Restaurant in 2020’s Scottish Curry Awards with Motherland Spice in Saltcoats in the running for Outstanding Indian Restaurant of the Year.

The Saltcoats restaurant team also hope to secure the Restaurant of the Year prize with Kilwinning’s Torranyard Tandoori, Irvine’s Gulab Tandoori, Lawthorn Farm and Ayr’s Rupee Room also in the running.

Hoping to take home the top takeaway prize are Zains Curry House in Dalry, Volcano in Irvine and Ayr’s The Curry Leaf.

The awards ceremony takes place at the crown plaza on Monday, April 6, with secret diners coming out test their menus.
