Whitletts Victoria football club have confirmed their application to join the new West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL).

Agreement was reached last week following video conference discussions between the SFA, Lowland League, East and South of Scotland Leagues and the SJFA West Region that gives all existing junior clubs in the West Region the opportunity to apply for the new league.

The deal allows clubs to retain their membership of the Scottish Junior Football Association and with it entry to the Scottish Junior Cup.

Vics Chairman John Dalton stated that this agreement offered real opportunities for Whitletts to develop further as a club, saying: “By joining the pyramid, we are declaring our future ambition. That ambition is to obtain our National Club Licence once we move to our new stadium with the prospect of playing in the Scottish Cup in future years.”
